    What is Republic of the Congo ECTN Certificate?

    For the certificate to be issued without incurring a penalty charge, the certificate must be validated within five days after the vessel’s departure.

    Prior to the goods being unloaded in Congo, the URN reference, which is stated on the validated document, must also be mentioned on the bill of lading.

    • Bill of Lading (Applications can be made with draft copy)
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Freight Invoice (it is not necessary if the freight value is indicated on Commercial Invoice)
    • GUOT Document (There are two types of GUOT documents, DI (Douane d’importation) and TI (Transport d’importation). The importer in Rep. Congo has to issue both documents. For ECTN applications, the GUOT document (with TI-xxxxx code) has to be presented.)

    What Separates A T.I. From A URN Number?

    T.I. is a part of the GUOT document, which the Republic of Congo uses as an import declaration. Consequently, a supporting document known as the T.I. is required in order to apply for ECTN.

    The ECTN certificate for the Republic of Congo has a URN number as a reference. It appears printed on the confirmed ECTN certificate.

    If The Container Has Been Loaded On Board, Am I Still Able To Apply For The Republic Of Congo ECTN?

    After you depart, you can submit an application for an ECTN certificate for the Republic of Congo. Please be aware that in addition to the certificate payments, authorities will impose a penalty equal to 50% of the original certificate’s cost if the certificate is not validated within 5 days after the on board date.

    Where On The ECTN Certificate Can I Find The URN Number?

    The “Visum Reference No.” on the ECTN Congo certificate is the URN number. The URN normally consists of a mix of letters and numbers and begins with the exporter country code. On Congo ECTN, this number is in the upper right-hand corner.

    What Do GUOT Documents Called DI And T.I. Stand For? Which One Is Required For The ECTN?

    TI (Transport d’importation) and Douane d’importation (DI) are the two documents that make up GUOT. Both certificates must be issued by the importer in the Republic of Congo. To get an ECTN certificate, the applicant just has to submit a T.I. (Transport d’importation).

    The product value and freight value must coincide on the GUOT documentation and the invoice.
