All cargo being shipped to Chad must have a document called a “Bordereau électronique de Suivi de Cargaison,” or “Electronic Cargo Tracking Note” (ECTN) in English and a “BESC” in French. The cargo’s legitimacy and conformity with Chad laws are certified by the ECTN certificate.

If the bill of lading lists Douala or Kribi as the port of discharge, you should double-check the shipment’s final destination to make sure it isn’t in transit to either of these landlocked nations.
According to an announcement by the Chad government, if the automobiles (chassis) are carried in containers, the shipping type shall be listed as a container. In this situation, the bill of lading should be properly tagged with container references. If not, ECTN certificates should be issued as RO/RO shipments.
