The Yemen Ministry of Transport has announced the implementation of the Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) procedure for all shipments destined for Yemeni ports. Starting January 1st, 2025, this procedure will be mandatory, and shippers, exporters, or freight forwarders will be required to obtain the ACD number from the port of loading. Additionally, the ACD number must be included on the bill of lading.

An Advanced Cargo Declaration (ACD) is a customs requirement aimed at improving the security and efficiency of international shipping. It mandates that detailed information about cargo, such as its contents, origin, and destination, be submitted to customs authorities before the goods arrive in a country.
