Each BSC number is unique and limited to one shipment. Every cargo needs to get its own validated Madagascar BSC certificate.
Less than 100 EUR worth of cargo to Madagascar is exempt from needing a BSC certificate.
Unfortunately, the BSC certificate for Madagascar cannot be altered in any way once it has been verified. At the destination customs, you will need to explain the reason for the change.
If all required papers are submitted and coherent, the draft copy of the certificate will be issued within a day. Once we get your approval for the draft and the payment, the certificate will be sent in for validation. Usually, the verification clearance comes in a day. However, because Antananarivo’s main office handles all permissions, the procedure might take a week.
The Madagascar BSC is crucial for compliance with local regulations. It helps customs authorities monitor and control cargo movements, enhancing security, preventing smuggling, and ensuring that all trade practices are legal.
If your shipment arrives in Madagascar without a valid BSC, it may face significant consequences, including fines, penalties, and substantial delays in customs clearance. In some cases, the shipment may even be denied entry into the country.
