What is a CTN Certificate for Liberia?
A CTN (Cargo Tracking Note) is a mandatory pre-shipment document that must be obtained before the vessel arrives in Liberia. The Liberia Customs Authority uses it to track cargo, improve port security, and ensure proper revenue collection.
If a shipment arrives in Liberia without a valid CTN, the consignee faces:
- Heavy penalties
- Delays at the port
- Possible refusal to clear the cargo
